My name is Philip Karahassan and I am a registered, (MBACP) fully insured Psychotherapist, psychologist, counsellor and founder of Therapy in London. I am a member of the BPS, FDAP and am a member and follow the BACP code of ethics.
This page is for you to get a better understanding of me as a therapist, so as to help you to decide if I am the right therapist for you.
My love of psychology grew from my undergraduate degree in Cultural History; learning about how others lived and, more so, acted within society.
I undertook a Postgraduate Diploma in Psychotherapy and Counselling, at Regents University London, before being awarded a MSc in Psychology from the the University of East London.
In my experience, I have found that it is not enough to just try and fix our problems in the short term. We must look to challenge our inner barriers to help us relate to the world, others and indeed ourselves in a more authentic way. As a therapist, I provide a safe space in which we can start to re-evaluate long-standing negative thought patterns. Essentially offering that first step for you to find your own unique happiness.
