“I want to be a guide on your journey of self-exploration. To help, empower, and find the answers you seek in therapy.”
I am Thomas Sobel, an American-trained counsellor and psychotherapist who has been working in private practice since 2007.
Above all, my aim is to be your guide on a journey of self-exploration. I want to help and empower you to find the answers you seek in therapy. Of course, no two people are the same. Therefore, it is important to find a therapist that you can connect with. You should feel safe and comfortable with your therapist.
After growing up in the United States, I have been living in the UK since 2006. Further, my experience has given me an understanding of working with diverse and multi-cultural clients. Many of my clients, for example, are from the queer community and I am a cis gender gay male.
Moreover, my approach to therapy is one that is integrated and individualised. Additionally, the spaces that I aim to create are non-judgemental supportive, and safe environments for all clients.
Above all, I can offer personal experience and understanding, which allows queer clients to feel more comfortable. I am a registered member of both the British Association of Counsellors and Psychotherapists (BACP) as well as National Counselling Association.
