Therapy offers a way forward in life. After all, you were never meant to do it alone.

I am going to help you by..

...guiding you to find your own answers, reducing the confusion and seeing things more clearly. This is how:

  • clarify and refine the issue(s) bringing you to therapy
  • understand the connection of the issue(s) with past or present experiences and your life patterns
  • understand and identify the true function of the issue(s) is in your life - why is it there? what keeps it there? what does it want to do?
  • adopt more functional and healthier perspectives of the issue(s)
  • learn concrete tools and adaptive coping mechanisms to regulate and make decisions
  • gift yourself self-awareness and agency over the issue(s) and your life

In our sessions we will...

...not be 'changing' you, but encouraging you to return yourself. When we dive into the depths of our thoughts, emotions and behaviours, we can understand who we are, and why we interact with the world, people and ourselves in the ways we do. That way we can take back agency and autonomy and ensure every moment of our lives is aligned to what we truly want, need and who we truly are.

In my sessions you are respected, understood and free to show the vulnerable, unprocessed and 'messiest' parts of yourself. After all, we were never meant to do all of it alone. I am here to sit with you through it.

My favourite quote is...

"We can only meet others as deeply as we have met ourselves"

I became a Therapist because..

I was interested in the potential of the human mind, and strongly believe that with self-awareness people can have meaningful lives if they want to.

IF YOU LOVE ME DONT LOVE ME: Undoing Reciprocal Double Binds and Other Methods of Change in Couple and Family Therapy by Mony Elkaim

The families we are born into are the systems we grow up in. As a couples and individual psychotherapist, I am always working with an awareness of the system the person comes from, potential double binds and their experience of themselves, how they were loved and how they love now. In love, we always face the risk of loss. For some this is more anxiety provoking than others.
