I focus on your personal growth and the present moment.

I am going to help you by..

Together, we will focus on the ‘here and now’ of your present experience.

I will help you to:

●     Notice your patterns

●     Take self-responsibility

●     Make real change

My emphasis will be on encouraging you to be curious and notice new things about yourself.

My role will be to support you to fully experience moments of contact and connection, and find your own way forward.

In our sessions we will...

We will pay close attention to what’s happening for you and between us in the session — such as your thoughts, feelings, and sensations — as a way to increase your awareness.

Rather than analysing from a distance, Gestalt therapy is experiential.

We might use metaphor, devise small creative experiments, use art materials in a simple way or try out mindfulness techniques to explore how you experience yourself and your relationships.

I also work in an embodied way.

This simply means that what’s happening in your body can be as important as what’s happening in your thoughts or emotions.

We will work out a way of discussing this together in our sessions.

I became a Therapist because..

I have worked for nearly 15 years in higher education, supporting creative arts students.

After starting my journey with Gestalt Therapy as a client, I found it very helpful and wanted to deepen my understanding of the modality.

This led me to train at The Gestalt Centre, London.

In both my training and working life, I have gained a wealth of experience helping adults from a wide range of lived experiences. I supported them to navigate different types of personal challenges and mental health difficulties.

My favourite quote is...

"Don't push the river, it flows by itself." Fritz Perls (Frederick S. Perls), psychiatrist and co-founder of Gestalt therapy.

I'm currently reading..

'The Gift of Therapy' by Irvin D. Yalom

My favourite colour is...

Orange, but more specifically sunset orange.
