I became a Therapist because..

Therapy in the diaspora was my first safe and non-judgmental space. It helped me become myself and encouraged me to embrace my identity within a marginalized culture.

That experience inspired me to help you embrace your differences and complexities. I want to support you in feeling a sense of belonging, even when you feel caught between two or more cultures. Embrace this journey with me and allow yourself to grow into your unique self.

My most impactful experience was..

Being in my third country, I've faced struggles and had to adapt each time, which has profoundly shaped my work and how I connect with clients. These experiences have deepened my understanding and empathy, allowing me to support clients more effectively as they navigate their own journeys.

  • Cultural Sensitivity: Understanding and respecting the unique cultural backgrounds of each client, ensuring that therapy is relevant and meaningful to them.
  • Addressing Systemic Issues: Recognizing and addressing the impact of systemic issues such as racism, discrimination, and socioeconomic disparities on mental health.
  • Incorporating Cultural Practices: Integrating traditional healing practices and cultural values into the therapy process to make it more effective for clients from diverse backgrounds.
  • Building Self-Trust: Helping clients develop self-acceptance and trust in themselves by validating their experiences and fostering a sense of belonging.

I'm currently watching..

This K‑drama offers a raw look at domestic violence within marriage and family life. It shows how silence, denial, and taking the abuser’s side trap women with little support. The story reflects realities found across many cultures, making it a difficult but important watch about awareness and accountability.
